The Senufo people, known by various names such as Siena, Senefo, Sene, Senoufo, and Syénambélé, are an ethnolinguistic group in West Africa. They live in the northern Ivory Coast, southeastern Mali, and western Burkina Faso. Primarily engaged in agriculture, the Senufo cultivate crops such as corn, millet, yams, and peanuts. Their villages comprise small mud-brick homes, with thatched roofs found in the rainy southern communities and flat roofs in the dry desert-like north.
