Its primary purpose is to ensure that women extinguish their cooking fires before the strong afternoon winds of the dry season arrive. This mask is designed to be intimidating, with its aggressive demeanor and occasional throwing of objects. Notably, the round eyes on the mask are typically smaller than those on the gunyege mask and may even protrude slightly. The head is adorned with tall green leaves, while the masker wears pants with a ruff of raffia around the waist and neck.
